They saw an opportunity to bring this rugged machine to international markets — from overlanders to farmers to fleet buyers — and knew they had found something special.

Throughout their global travels searching for the rarest and best LandCruisers, Travis and Bryan became close friends and eventually business partners with Jurie Swart — the founder of Alublack, a premium tray and canopy manufacturer in South Africa. What began as a shared appreciation for craftsmanship and a love for the LandCruiser turned into something more.

Through friendship and mutual respect, they brought Jurie’s high-quality Alublack brand to the UK and European markets — launching Alublack UK. For more than a decade, Travis and Bryan have tracked LandCruisers using everything from word-of-mouth to Google Earth imagery, searching for that telltale shape of a 70 Series in remote parts of the world. They’ve travelled thousands of miles, negotiated with locals and dealers alike, and handled complex international logistics.
